Study visit of Polish experts to Finland as part of the ESBOR project
On 4–6 March this year, representatives of public administration and services responsible for security and justice participated in a study visit to Helsinki, organised as part of the ESBOR project. The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of public institutions to counter radicalisation, extremism and terrorism.
The programme of the visit included meetings with Finnish experts representing the security sector, public administration and penitentiary institutions. During the talks, selected solutions and experiences related to countering extremist threats were presented, including actions taken in the digital environment and initiatives aimed at developing the knowledge and competences of those involved in preventive activities.
The meetings provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on a multi-agency approach to prevention, covering various stages of the radicalisation process – from early identification of threats, through activities carried out in the institutional environment, to initiatives supporting the readaptation process.
The participation of Polish representatives in the visit confirms the importance of international expert cooperation and the exchange of experiences as essential elements in strengthening the effectiveness of preventive measures in the area of security.
