Study visit of Polish experts to France as part of the ESBOR project
On 16–18 February this year, representatives of public administration and services responsible for security and justice took part in a study visit to Paris, organised as part of the ESBOR project. The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of public institutions to counter radicalisation, extremism and terrorism.
The programme of the visit included meetings with French experts representing the security sector and institutions involved in preventive and penitentiary activities. During the talks, solutions used in France in the area of countering extremist threats and inter-institutional cooperation were presented.
An important part of the visit was also a visit to a penitentiary unit, which allowed participants to learn about the practical aspects of conducting security-related activities and preventing radicalisation in an isolated environment.
The meetings provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss the approaches used in various European countries to prevent extremist threats. The knowledge and observations gained will support the further development of the competences of national institutions in this area.
