CAT ABW training for the civil aviation sector - Welcome

  • CAT ABW training for the civil aviation sector - Welcome

On 16 January 2026, an expert from the Counter-Terrorism Centre of the Internal Security Agency conducted training for representatives of the civil aviation sector - Welcome, which was devoted to anti-terrorist prevention and response to crisis situations.

The aim of the meeting was to raise awareness of threats and prepare participants to respond appropriately in high-risk situations, taking into account the specific nature of civil aviation. The CAT ABW officer discussed potential terrorist threats and key areas of risk associated with the daily performance of duties in a critical infrastructure environment.

The training presented recommended procedures for dealing with crisis situations, including incidents involving an active perpetrator or threats involving the use of dangerous objects. Participants learned about the principles of response in line with the ‘4U!’ campaign, which promotes appropriate behaviour in emergency situations.

The training was important for strengthening organisational resilience and improving the safety culture

in the civil aviation sector, which, due to its role, is a key element of the country's critical infrastructure.
