CAT ABW training for the Office of the Ombudsman for Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurs

  • CAT ABW training for the Office of the Ombudsman for Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurs

On 11–12 August, representatives of the CAT ABW conducted training for employees of the Office of the Ombudsman for Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurs on anti-terrorism prevention and hybrid threats in the online information space.

The aim of the training was to raise participants' awareness of how to recognise and counteract activities combining elements of cyberattacks, information manipulation and psychological influence on the internet, as well as to prepare employees to respond appropriately in situations of terrorist threat.

During the part on hybrid threats, participants learned about current trends in information and cyber operations conducted by external entities. Among other things, examples of disinformation campaigns, social engineering techniques and ways to limit the impact of manipulation on the Internet were discussed.

The counter-terrorism part covered issues related to recognising potential signs of danger, appropriate behaviour in crisis situations, and recommended rules for cooperation with the relevant services. Participants learned about evacuation procedures, how to respond to suspicious incidents, and basic principles for increasing safety in the workplace and in public spaces, as outlined in the 4U! procedure.

These training courses are part of efforts to build the resilience of government entities.
