CAT ABW training cycle for the Polish Development Fund
In September 2025, representatives of the Counterterrorism Center of the Internal Security Agency conducted training in Warsaw for employees of the Polish Development Fund. The meeting was part of a series of educational activities devoted to counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and digital security.
The aim of the training was to raise participants' awareness of contemporary security threats and prepare them to respond effectively in crisis situations. CAT ABW officers presented a wide range of issues related to suspicious contacts, potential areas of professional risk, and methods of counteracting attempts to obtain information by unauthorized entities.
A significant part of the training was also devoted to threats in the online space, including such phenomena as cyber espionage, phishing, social engineering attacks, and attempts at information manipulation. Experts pointed out practical ways to secure data, devices, and business and private accounts.
Recommended procedures for crisis situations were also discussed, including how to respond to terrorist attacks, such as mass murderers or attempts to use explosives. Participants learned about the principles of response in line with the “4U!” campaign, which promotes appropriate behavior in dangerous situations.
The training was an important element of the cooperation between CAT ABW and the Polish Development Fund, aimed at strengthening institutional security, building a culture of information protection, and increasing the organizational resilience of PFR to contemporary challenges in the real and digital world.
