CAT ABW training for representatives responsible for classified information protection at the Ministry of Finance

  • CAT ABW training for representatives responsible for classified information protection at the Ministry of Finance

As part of activities aimed at raising security awareness in government administration entities, the CAT ABW conducted training for representatives of the Ministry of Finance responsible for classified information protection on 15–17 July, focusing on counterintelligence prevention and hybrid threats in the online information space.

The aim of the training was to increase participants' knowledge of how to recognise and prevent attempts by external entities to obtain information and to identify contemporary hybrid threats using the online information space. The trainees were presented with real-life examples of security incidents, discussed the patterns of foreign services' activities, and were introduced to good practices in data protection, communication and responding to potential threats. Real-life incidents were used to illustrate how hybrid activities can affect an organisation's reputation, decision-making processes and information security.

These training courses are a continuation of the cooperation between the ABW and the Ministry of Finance in the field of employee awareness raising.

The meetings are part of efforts to build the resilience of government administration entities.
