Training for the Information Processing Centre
On 24 April 2025, a CAT ABW expert delivered a training course for the Information Processing Centre.
During the training, key issues related to responding to terrorist threats were discussed. Also presented were preventive measures that can be implemented both institutionally and individually - with an emphasis on identifying warning signs and building community resilience.
The expert discussed the principle of 4U! (Watch out - Hide - Flee - Thwart the attack), as a scheme of action in an active threat situation, such as the action of a mass killer or a terrorist attack - a terrorist event.
Based on an analysis of real attacks, civilian response scenarios were discussed, providing best practices and recommendations for action. The expert stressed the importance of a balanced assessment of the situation, coordinated during evacuation and cooperation with the services.
During the training, the need to raise public awareness of security procedures and preventive actions was emphasised.
