TPCoE training for representatives of the Polish Organisation of Commerce and Distribution
On 20 June this year, experts from TPCoE conducted a training course on recognising and countering radicalisation leading to terrorism, together with elements of crisis communication in terrorist prevention.
During the meeting, experts discussed the factors influencing the radicalisation process and the behaviour of individuals that may indicate an acceptance or willingness to use violence for political, ideological, religious or personal purposes. It was explained how to try to identify if a person is radicalising towards terrorism or violent extremism and how to react in such a situation.
Issues related to conducting effective crisis communication in the event of a terrorist incident were also discussed. The Centre's experts also talked about the workings of terrorist and extremist propaganda and the principles of strategic communication to counter terrorist information and propaganda threats.
