Joint conference of ABW’s TP CoE, PPL and RCB on air traffic safety
On September 16-17, 2021, the Polish Airports State Enterprise, the Internal Security Agency and the Government Centre for Security organized a conference entitled: "Cooperation and exchange of information between entities of the crisis management system in the aspect of air traffic safety". The organizers of the event emphasized the need to monitor and improve the level of safety in air transport, quick response to incidents and continuous improvement of standards.
During the conference, issues related to, inter alia, with the current level of exposure of the airport to extremist and terrorist threats, assessing the feasibility of the implementation of acts of violence with the use of CBRN means and improvised explosives. A manifestation of the expressed aspiration to a multi-stakeholder approach in the field of securing critical infrastructure was the participation - next to the organizers - of key institutions from the point of view of air traffic protection: the Civil Aviation Authority, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, the Border Guard, the National Revenue Administration and the State Fire Service and Territorial Defence Forces.
