UN Counter-Terrorism Week

Every two years, UN member states and international organizations meet to discuss strategies to combat against terrorism.

The Week to Combat Terrorism will be held from June 19-23, 2023 at the UN Headquarters in New York. The United Nations General Assembly reviews the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy (GCTS) every two years, aligning it with the priorities of member states.

The event will provide member states, United Nations entities, international and regional organizations, civil society organizations and private sector representatives with a platform to share information, experiences and good practices, and identify key priorities for further counter-terrorism cooperation under the four pillars of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.

The Anti-Terrorism Week aims to provide a platform to bring together decision-makers high-level officials and experts from diverse backgrounds who are committed to sharing best practices and strengthening joint efforts in the global fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
