Terrorism Prevention Centre of Excellence i.a. through online training shapes the culture of security by building anti-terrorist awareness in the society.
On September 11, 2001, al-Qaeda carried out a series of terrorist attacks that changed reality forever. The need to protect the population and implement preventive measures has become a priority for governments around the world. Global and national security systems have been strengthened over the past 20 years.
The strategy and methods of operation implemented by terrorist groups have evolved through new forms of financing their activities as well as through the distribution and promotion of materials through channels using internet and mobile technologies. New threats have developed in an asymmetric and hybrid direction.
Undertaking cooperation and effective actions at the international (including NATO, UN, OSCE, Europol, Eurojust) and national levels as well as striving to maintain a preventive mechanism based on "private-public partnership" contributed significantly to building anti-terrorist awareness among citizens of our country.
TPCoE develops programs and conducts training, as well as cooperates with international institutions, aiming to raise public awareness and improve the security of attitudes in the field of terrorist, asymmetric and hybrid threats.
