CAT ABW training series for the Ministry of Finance
On 15 October, a CAT ABW officer conducted a training session for the management representatives of the departments of the Ministry of Finance.
During the lecture, the threats posed by terrorist activities in the cyber space were discussed. The scope of considering cyber-terrorism in the current information and cyber space environment was pointed out. The aspect of the use of digital space for irregular operations in hybrid threats was also discussed. The trainees were able to learn examples of the most common incidents of criminal activity in the digital space, with a particular focus on social media. In addition, good practices were presented on the use of the Internet in the work of government officials, enabling them to ensure adequate protection against hacking activity.
The training indicated is a continuation of the cooperation between the Anti-Terrorist Centre of the ABW and the Ministry of Finance in terms of increasing the awareness of persons in managerial positions in the context of information security. The series of meetings is part of efforts to build the resilience of government entities.
