Training at the Żabia Wola Municipal Office
On 4 and 11 July 2024, experts of Counter-Terrorism Centre of the ABW conducted a training session for employees and managers of the Żabia Wola Municipal Office.
During the meetings, the threats arising from terrorist activities in the cyber space were discussed. The scope of considering cyber-terrorism in the current information and cyber-space environment was indicated. The participants of the trainings were able to learn examples of the most common incidents related to criminal activity in the digital space, with a particular focus on social media. In addition, good practices were presented on the use of the Internet in the work of public officials, enabling them to ensure adequate protection against hacking activity.
The meetings also dealt with issues related to counter-terrorism prevention concerning the recommended ways of action under the 4U! procedure. These are applicable in the event of a terrorist incident. During the trainings, attention was drawn to the need to recognize the warning signs of threats at their earliest stage. In addition, recommended procedures for dealing with specific terrorist acts were pointed out.
The trainings is part of efforts to raise anti-terrorist awareness and build the resilience of local government entities to threats to their security.
