TPCoE training for Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego
In June and July 2022. TPCoE conducted training courses on terrorist prevention for Board Members and Managers of organisational units of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK). The scope of tasks dedicated to this institution determines the necessity of cooperation between organisational units of Internal Security Agency and BGK, placing the aforementioned Bank among the strategic entities on the territory of the Republic of Poland, from the point of view of countering terrorist threats.
The training addressed Poland's current level of vulnerability to extremist-terrorist threats and highlighted the continuing risk of terrorism as a global phenomenon. Discussing recommended behaviour during the course of a terrorist incident, the importance of anti-terrorist security of public administration facilities was emphasised. During the training, attention was also drawn to the threats and issues arising from attempts by terrorist organisations to acquire sensitive information and participants were familiarised with the mechanisms for their protection and prevention of disclosure to undesirable persons.
The training for BGK representatives is another initiative of TPCoE to raise anti-terrorist awareness among representatives of the Polish public administration, in particular among employees of the financial sector of strategic importance from the point of view of Poland's internal security. In view of the commonality of objectives and the need to mutually expand knowledge in the subject areas assigned to TPCoE and BGK, training cooperation between the institutions will continue.
