The antiterrorist training for representatives of the General Inspector of Financial Information
On November 23, 2021, the terrorism prevention unit of the Internal Security Agency conducted a training for the staff of the General Inspector of Financial Information. The aforementioned is part of an educational campaign conducted by TP CoE to raise awareness also among the authorities instrumental in preventing the terrorism financing.
During the training, the issue of current extremist and terrorist threats to the security of Poland was discussed, including with regard to the safety of key financial institutions, which may become target of terrorist infiltration.
Focus was placed on the recommended behaviours during the course of a terrorist event and during attacks of perpetrators using firearms or improvised explosives.
In this context, the Center tries to disseminate knowledge among the entire public sector, raising anti-terrorist awareness in entities responsible for identifying suspicious transactions related to money laundering and terrorist financing.
