“The Silent Front” – A New Approach to Building National Resilience
On June 10, 2026, the nationwide public awareness campaign “The Silent Front” was launched, organized by the Counterterrorism Center of the Internal Security Agency in cooperation with Telewizja Polska.
This is an unprecedented educational initiative that, for the first time on such a large scale, presents citizens with the real threats to national security, drawing on the operational experience of the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and materials from ongoing preliminary investigations.
The campaign is a response to contemporary challenges related to the activities of foreign intelligence services, sabotage, subversion, disinformation, and other forms of hybrid threats. Its goal is to build public awareness and strengthen the state’s resilience by fostering a culture of security among citizens.
Contemporary actions targeting national security are increasingly less likely to take the form of classic military threats. They are often covert, dispersed, and difficult to detect. Therefore, effective national security requires not only the involvement of public services and institutions, but also an informed public capable of recognizing warning signs and responding appropriately.
“The Silent Front” is a new form of public communication regarding national security. The campaign clearly explains the methods used by perpetrators, identifies warning signs, and presents practical guidelines for handling situations involving potential threats.
A key feature of the project is the close collaboration between the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and Telewizja Polska, which enables messages regarding national security to reach a wide audience through modern communication tools, video content, and a dedicated online platform.
The centerpiece of the campaign is the website www.cichyfront.gov.pl, which features educational materials, information on contemporary threats, and new episodes of the campaign. The site also includes practical tips on how to recognize recruitment attempts, subversive activities, and other actions that may pose a threat to national security.
We encourage you to visit the campaign website and watch the videos produced as part of the project. In particular, we recommend the first episode, which focuses on the case of courier package fires—an example of modern sabotage targeting the logistics and transportation infrastructure of European countries.
“The Silent Front” is not just an information campaign. It is part of a long-term process of strengthening national resilience and raising public awareness of threats that, in the 21st century, increasingly unfold outside the traditional battlefield—on the silent front of security.
