EMISA network sets a new path in the fight against terrorism

CEPOL's Counter-Terrorism Information Exchange and Criminal Justice Responses (CT INFLOW) project has initiated the establishment of an EU-MENA network (EMISA) to exchange information and good practices related to counter-terrorism.

EMISA started its activities by establishing eight working groups. These groups are composed of specialist practitioners. Each group is chaired by an appointed chair and two co-chairs, one from an EU country and one from the Middle East and North Africa region. All experts represent international and EU organisations.

The CT INFLOW team convened a meeting of all working group chairs in December to discuss the network's work plans and specific objectives for 2022. This was the first meeting of its kind to ensure synergies between the different knowledge areas.

EMISA aims to ensure a modern and more effective fight against terrorism with the support of the European Commission, the foreign policy instrument and the partner countries of the CT INFLOW project.
