Awareness of CBRN threats is key to security

ABW’s Terrorism Prevention Centre of Excellence actively participates in activities undertaken in the European Union and beyond to increase terrorism awareness of CBRN threats (chemical, biological, radiation, nuclear).

As part of joint activities of the Internal Security Agency with partners from abroad, attention should be paid to the results of research by the American institution Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in the field of resilience to bomb threats with the use of improvised explosives. CISA has produced a set of guides for several sectors, including lodging, outdoor events, public assembly, sports leagues and venues, and healthcare and public health, which are to help facility managers to understand the risks, obtain information on how to best prepare for them, and collaborate with other law enforcement institutions to achieve the highest possible level of security.

ABW’s Terrorism Prevention Centre of Excellence encourages you to read these documents, which, despite being embedded in the American reality, constitute valuable material for people who want to positively influence the level of security of the facilities and public spaces they manage.
