Meeting with university representatives in Lublin
On 7-8 March 2022, officers of the Internal Security Agency held organisational and training meetings with the management, teaching staff and students of five universities in Lublin (Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, Lublin University of Technology, University of Life Sciences in Lublin, The Medical University of Lublin, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin).
During the meetings, which gathered a total of about 430 people (both lecturers and students), issues concerning the role of special services (Internal Security Agency) in the Polish system of internal security were discussed, especially in the context of the war taking place in Ukraine. An important element of the ABW officers' speeches were also issues connected with anti-terrorist prevention. During the lectures attention was drawn to selected forms of terrorist events and the correct, recommended ways of proceeding during an attack were discussed.
Within the framework of raising anti-terrorist awareness, representatives of universities accepted, with great interest, educational products prepared by the Centre and shown to them and for that purpose, i.e. 4U! Social Campaign and an e-learning course on terrorist prevention. Expanding knowledge and skills in terms of counteracting terrorist incidents - especially in the current geopolitical situation - was considered a necessary element of the Polish anti-terrorist security system.
