ABW’s TP CoE at the conference of the University of Wrocław and PSP
On October 29, 2021, ABW TP CoE’s officers took part in the conference "Universal Population Protection, National Rescue System, Volunteer Fire Brigades", which took place at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław. ABW TP CoE’s officers spoke during session no. III - "Education and its role in the state security system".
The conference was organized by the University of Wrocław, the National Headquarters of the State Fire Service (PSP) and the Interdisciplinary Research Team for the preparation of a coherent security system. The aim of the event was to discuss best practices and exchange knowledge and experience in providing safety in the context of fire and CBRN threats. The moderator of the expert panel on education for security in Poland was Prof. UWr. dr hab. Barbara Wiśniewska-Paź.
The event was focused on the functioning of the State Fire Service in crisis situations. It should be emphasized that the State Fire Service plays a very important role in neutralizing the effects of terrorist events (fires, damage caused by explosions, events involving the use of chemical, biological or radiation factors). ABW’s TP CoE conducts ongoing cooperation with representatives of the State Fire Service, including on the implementation of joint exercises and workshops on checking the vulnerability of critical infrastructure facilities and public places to threats related to the use of explosives or CBRN agents.
