Training for the Civil Aviation Authority in Poland
On May 27, 2021, ABW’s TP CoE conducted training in the field of terrorist prevention for representatives of the Civil Aviation Office in Poland (ULC).
During the training with the management of the Civil Aviation Authority, the following topics were discussed: issues related to the recommended behaviour in the event of terrorist threats, with particular emphasis on potential threats that may occur at airports, and issues related to the radicalization process. The rules of conduct during a terrorist incident with the use of firearms, explosives and contamination factors were also presented.
The issue of behaviour during a hostage situation was discussed, as well as good practices in the context of terrorist incidents.
The training was carried out as part of strengthening the cooperation between ABW’s TP CoE and the Civil Aviation Office in Poland, under which further joint training courses, workshops and exercises are planned.
