Training for Prison Service personnel, on counter-radicalisation and information security
On the basis of an agreement signed by the leadership of Internal Security Agency and Prison Service, from 24-28 April 2023, jointly with the Prison Service, TPCoE experts conducted a series of training sessions addressed to Prison Service officers.
The first part of the meeting, was mainly devoted to the topic of recognising and countering radicalisation and discussing extremist narratives and symbolism. The next training block concerned information security and the specificity of Islam in the modern world and the prevention of radicalisation of persons deprived of liberty in the Polish penitentiary system.
The above event was another awareness-raising event of this kind for Prison Service officers, conducted as part of the joint expert teams of both services. Further initiatives for Prison Service personnel raising awareness and skills on this topic are planned.
