International meeting - Canberra (Australia)
On 18-22 March 2019 in Canberra (Australia), the Terrorism Prevention Centre of Excellence together with Croatian partner service SOA held consultations with Australian security stakeholders: Australia Security Intelligence Organization, National Threat Assessment Centre, Department of Home Affairs, Australian Border Force, Federal Police and AUSTRAC (counterpart of the Polish GIIF).
A number of issues were discussed at the meeting, in particular: the role of the aforementioned services and authorities in preventing and countering terrorism, the actions undertaken to prevent radicalization with focus on challenges and problems arising from a growing number of mass migration flows. A summary of the meeting was the adopted recommendations on the functioning of the terrorism prevention system in Poland, Croatia, and Australia.
