Conference "Protect By Training"

On January 19-20, 2021, an on-line conference on raising awareness and the importance of terrorism prevention entitled: Protect by Training. The importance of awareness in terrorism prevention was organized by the ABW’s Terrorism Prevention Centre of Excellence. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Head of the Internal Security Agency, Colonel Bernard Bogusławski and the Director of the TP CoE Lt. Col.Anna Kańciak-Kulińska, PhD.

The conference was attended by ca. 130 representatives of secret services and law enforcement agencies from Poland and around the world, representatives of Voivodeship Offices and other institutions with which the TP CoE conducts ongoing cooperation within the framework of implemented projects.

During 4 working sessions, panellists representing a wide spectrum of knowledge and experience, both from the secret services, the scientific community, as well as practitioners and decision makers in the field of media and terrorist prevention, discussed, among others, best practices in this regard, presented possible solutions and referred to trends in terrorism prevention in the media, including social media.

During the conference, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and interact with panelists using the so-called 'Interactive wall' - a system for online questions and interaction, conducting surveys and collecting other data during the event. This made it possible to increase the activity and involvement of participants and translated into an increase in the attractiveness of the discussed content.
