International meeting in Kuta (Indonesia)

On September 28 - 30, 2020 in Bali (Indonesia), the ABW Terrorism Prevention Centre together with the Croatian SOA special service held consultations with the Indonesian special services and law enforcement agencies.

The participants emphasized the unprecedented nature of the event, which took place for the first time in history at the highest management level, including the Polish, Croatian and Indonesian intelligence and security services as well as law enforcement bodies.

The Indonesian side presented law enforcement measures and improvements to the national security system after the 2002 attacks in Bali, where 202 people were killed. It also presented the foundations of the new Indonesian CT- strategy and the relevant national action plans.

The Polish delegation presented current threat assessment from terrorism in Poland, the national CT-system and the role of the TCPoE - a dedicated unit within ABW specialized in terrorism prevention. The focus was also placed on social campaign "4U!" in Poland to raise awareness and recommend the best response to a terrorist incident.

The meeting was co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund within the project "Increasing the competences of state security services, public administration employees and research and development centers in the area of ​​national security" under the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020.
